Protect interior sauna wood with Tikkurila Supi Saunavaha Sauna Wax in Clear. This waterborne treatment contains natural wax that absorbs into the wood, forming a protective barrier against dirt and water.

Available in 0.9L and 2.7L containers.

COVERAGE

Approximately 10–13 m² per liter, depending on wood species and application.

APPLICATION

1. Prepare the surface

Ensure the wood is clean and dry. Remove dirt, loose fibers and sanding dust. Clean previously used surfaces with a suitable sauna cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.

2. Check application conditions

Apply at temperatures of at least 5°C and relative humidity below 80%. Protect floors and tile joints.

3. Apply the wax

Stir thoroughly before use and occasionally during application. Apply one thin coat along the grain, using only as much wax as the wood absorbs. Treat one or two panels at a time. Excess wax can leave surfaces slippery.

4. Allow to dry

At 23°C and 50% relative humidity, the finish is dust-dry in approximately 30–60 minutes and ready for use after 24 hours. Preheat and ventilate the sauna thoroughly before use.

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY & CARE

- Not suitable for previously oiled wood unless the oil has worn away almost completely.

- Remaining previous finishes may increase gloss. Test in an inconspicuous area before full application.

- For thermally modified wood, Tikkurila specifies Supi Sauna Wax tinted to TVT 318R rather than clear.

- Protect from frost.

- Wear protective gloves; preservatives may cause an allergic reaction.

- Always follow the current container label, product data sheet and safety data sheet.

This product is a wax treatment, not sauna oil.
